The Bodynodes Blender UI is a tool we made for everyone. We wanted to make it easier to animate a character even for beginners by using real movement data instead of using a lot of time in trying to animate realistically a body. It takes ages time to create the proper enviroment on Blender and develop the skills to animate with the right timing.
What's surprising is that we want in the end is to make a character move as we do every day. We constantly "move", so why not using it directly? Bodynodes sensors let us do that.
Our sensors can collect real data and be used directly on a character. We already solved that. Obviously there are other problems: the movements even though are very realistic, they are sort of weird and usually do not do what we want. We want to through a puch but it doesn't lend exactly as we want, so we want to move it slighyl left or right.
And that's why we want to work on the bodynodes data coming from the sensors. And here we made a decision. We decided to divide the UI in two parts:
- Bodynodes Recording: which has all the funcionalities to collect data from bodynodes sensors
- Bodynodes Animation: which has all the functionalities to use and modify animation data
This division make it easier to use our UI for animators and bodynodes users by dividing the features in two simple groups.
Animators are mostly interested in working on the character instead of having to deal with real sensors. Bodynodes users have sensors and are capable of collecting data, therefore they are mostly interested in give it away.
Instead of going through all the functionalities here we made a video for you. Without going into the technical details here is what the two tabs have:
