Bodynodes and Sport

In recent years, Bodynodes has mainly been used for VR games, robotics, and interactive applications. Using small wearable sensors, it is possible to capture body movement and use it to control devices and software in a natural way.
This year, however, I want to explore a new direction: sport. This idea comes directly from community feedback, which pushed me to focus more on movement-based applications. The goal is to make the sensors more practical, lightweight, and suitable for real physical activity, both in sports and everyday use.
The idea is simple: if these sensors can be used to control games and robots, they can also help observe and better understand athletic movement. They could be used to visualize your motion, create physical activity–based games, or develop new sport-focused applications.
For this reason, I am developing a new generation of sensors designed to be more wearable and less intrusive than previous versions.
However, this also raises several important questions:
Which sport makes the most sense to start with?
What is the best way to place the sensors on the body to get useful data without being intrusive?
How should this data be interpreted and used?
And most importantly, what types of applications would actually be useful and engaging for people practicing sports or trying to improve their movement?
As always, the project continues to evolve through experiments, prototypes, and new ideas to test in practice.
