We are happy to show our new sensors: the Bodynodes Shoes!
Here a few pictures:
One of the biggest problems in Motion Capture based Animation systems is "which foot is the support"?
This is important to know in order to decide from which foot the animation is based on. One of the most immediate solutions is to use "the lowest foot" of the character skeleton in the animation. This approach requires extremely accurate tracking sensors which are not always available. Therefore the software used then heavily relies on the type of sensors in use.
Our solution is different, with the Bodynodes Shoes we can add to the tracking info also details on which foot is the support and let the animation being properly rendered at runtime. You can potentially have a character walking and moving in the 3D animation space while tracking! Which then would reduce the post-processing time.
We will work on seeing what is the potential of this approach and provide software that will help you doing animations "up to the next level". This is all very exciting for us and we hope it is for you too. Follow us in the next months to see what we come up with.
In the meantime
See you soon everyone!!
