In the world of motion capture, significant innovations are on the horizon. The Bodynodes project has unveiled its sixth-generation motion capture sensors, powered by ST Microelectronics boards and equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity. These sensors are set to redefine motion capture technology and open up new possibilities for motion data exchange.

A Brief History
The Bodynodes project has always worked in improving his sensor. In the early days we had these ones.
These sensor are actually the 3rd generarion but they were the first real Bodynodes.
It was possible to easily wear them, but they were extremely fragile and they would break very often.
I then decided to build a better support for the sensor and the battery, the 4th generation.
They are way safer, but also very heavy. Additionally it was difficult to change the battery if needed.
The 5th generation is smaller and modular.
They are easy to wear and it is possible to change parts in case something breaks.
Still they are quite heavy.
And that's where we are!
The sixth generation, extremely small and still very accurate in the motion sensing.
What's New with Sixth-Gen Bodynodes sensors
Compact Size: The latest BodyNodes sensors are incredibly compact, ensuring minimal interference with the wearer's movements. Their discreet design makes them suitable for various applications.
ST Microelectronics Board: By making use of a board from STMicroelectronics, Bodynodes has developed a custom firmware that converts the board to a Bodynodes BLE Node sensor.
BLE Connectivity: BLE connectivity offers a seamless and cable-free data exchange experience. This wireless solution enhances user mobility and simplifies setup.
Precision Tracking: Even though it is small, the board is equipped with everything it needs to sense motion with outstanding precision.
Versatile Applications: The versatility of these sensors opens doors to a wide range of applications, from enhancing virtual reality experiences to aiding in medical research and automation processes.
On for professional: These version of the sensors make use of a our communication standard, which will be available for professional use. If interested in trying the framework just find us on github (https://github.com/ManuDev9) and start using our open source libraries
Conclusion
The sixth-generation sensors mark a significant advancement in the Bodynodes project. With their compact size, BLE connectivity, precision tracking, and versatility, these sensors are poised to reshape how we do motion capture. Whether you're in the realms of entertainment, healthcare, sports, or any other field that relies on motion data, the sixth-gen Bodynodes sensors offer a promising future. Motion capture technology is evolving, and these sensors can arrive at the forefront of this exciting transformation.
